So, we ended up saving a little calico kitten. she was drowning... :( we got her all warm, dry, and we've had her about a month now. surprisingly shes a love. we've wormed her. but she has been pooping weird lately. it's not diarrhea, just soft and wet sounding and it smells terrible. We have been feeding her  Merrick grain free kitten recipe, as all my animals are on a grain free food. I'm wondering if she has an allergy or is just having trouble adjusting to not hunting for her food. she's about 4 months old as far as I know. I am in the process of getting a new type of litter as well, as our current one is making  it's making us feel sick. Thanks in advance!

She really needs to be seen by a vet.  Diarrhea can be very serious for a young kitten.  You need to sure she is getting lots of fluids.

Please schedule a vet visit.

One worming does not kill all worms.  If it is soft and smelly, chances are it's parasites of some description.  I agree with ShadowsRescue about a vet visit.  Make an appointment and the day of the appt get a FRESH stool sample, as much as you can, and bring it with you.  You can put it in an old clean medicine bottle or even a baggie.  The vet can test for the type of parasite and administer meds accordingly.

I agree about the vet visit and possible need for a second de-worming dose. It would help if you could feed her dry kitten chow (Purina kitten chow is available in most supermarkets) and make it  available for her 24/7, and also give her canned food for kittens and mix it with some water for extra hydration. They need the extra protein and nutrients in the food designed for kittens. Later on you can transition her to your regular cat food. Right now you need to get kitten food and as much fluid in her as possible. Consider also giving her some tuna in tuna water with water added so she'll drink more.
