My baby is just over a year and a half. When I got him from my neighbors they told us he was a Russian Blue. After doing some research I've noticed he's too puffy and his eyes are not green! After talking to my neighbor she thinks she was misinformed when she got his parents. His name is Screech because he was extremely vocal when we 1st got him, he has since become very quiet and only makes noise when he wants something and he is very impatient. He is very very attached to his daddy, going as far as to wait for him at the door when he should be getting home from work. He hates new people and acts as a guard to me when we have people over. We've had him since he was 5 weeks and we love him to death even if he's not a RB.

I just wanted to get some opinions on what everyone else thinks he could be. He does look a lot like a Chartreux. Even down to the little bit of pudge on his belly and weighing much more then he looks like he would.

I tried to get a photos of his under coat. He's fluffy and wooly feeling. He also has a silver shift to his blue grey coloring.

I also have pictures of his parents and siblings.

his mom and dad. Mom has the red collar on.

Dad has a very long long fluffy tail.
here is moms face.

This is one of his brothers.

and brother once again.

I also have pictures of his whole growth and development growing up if they'll help figure out what he really should be called.

Wow, they are so beautiful!  No matter what kind of cat they actually are, they are both stunning.

Thank you! I loved my neighbors cats when I met them as kittens and they're sweet as can be so once I found out they had kittens I had to have one. Now Screech is my spoiled rotten baby. I actually call him pretty boy. His eyes are just the coolest I've ever seen. We just lost our 1st cat who was like his big brother, so I was trying to find what possible health issues we might have to deal with in the future so we can be prepared.

The parents and bro do have quite some looks of RB, and could easily gets jobs as stand in for RB of pet quality - the european type, not the american type.

But as we see on your boy, somebody apparently isnt pure bred - OR of a very pet quality, shredding yellow eyes around...

I see also the tabby M on someone.  And this fluffy tail.   RB dont carry the tabby gene, per definition. but they may have ghost stripes as kittens.  Adults MAY have ghost stripes too, but are counted as pet quality then -  no success on Shows, and are avoided for breeding...

Anyway, whom cares?  They are very pretty everyone, and nicely looking.  Yours boy seems a very nice fellow. Loving his Dad and guarding and protecting his Ma.

Thank you for your input! It's greatly appreciated. He's a sweet boy most of the time. [emoji]128517[/emoji] In person none of them look to have a tabby M, I believe it's just the way his fur was breaking in the pictures. I do see it in the photos though. They're all very expressive and seem to scrunch their foreheads up if they don't appreciate you loving on them. I've never noticed any ghost stripes on any of them. Even as kittens.

Here's my baby, as an actual baby.
