Hello from BC canada

Hello
I am new here and pretty much a new cat mama

My husband and I were walking in pets mart 2 days ago. I found my husband looking at the cats over in a section where a shelter was set up to try and adopt out unwanted cats and dogs over the weekend. I never thought in a million years I would open our home to cats. I am a busy mom of 3 boys and also have two big parrots. For some reason my heart opened up when I saw these two cats . It was almost an instantaneous love . They were siblings they were both so well tempered and they both loved coming over to my husband and I and the kids it was as if they chose us . It was done they still had my heart . They are about 6.5 months old and in there paperwork says they were feral cats from California. They came home last night and already have made them self at home here. They are so loving.
I know I have a challenge ahead of me, with being a parrot mamma first but for find reason was felt guided to being these two cats home with us.
Anyhow, glad I found this site cat in the litter box is Ariel and other is Jophiel.

You and your husband are AWESOME for adopting these beautiful cats!  In a few months you won't be able to remember your life without them, and you won't know what you did before they came.

Just out of curiosity how in the world did two California cat end up in British Columbia?  Also, Vancouver is my dream city.  I'd love to be able to eventually move there.

I don't really know. And to be honest, they are the most well behaved adorable cats I have ever seen. I just don't know how they were never adopted out down there. I guess it was just meant to be that they ended up her in BC and in our home <3

I do know the shelter that is set up here over the weekend was from Washington. They had dogs and cats from all over the World. As to why the came here to Canada, I don't know.. again I will just go, it was meant to be

I live in Portland, OR and I adopted my girl from the local humane society but she had been brought in from a shelter from WA. I know that our humane society does this regularly with shelters from all over the country when they have space available. Sounds like that is what happened with your girls...they were meant to find you and your family!

He is actually a boy, but were told they were female, they were named after archangels so it's all good. They are feminine and masculine energy [emoji]128519[/emoji]
