My mom was just vacuuming and my kitten was about 10 feet away. He immediately started running around like crazy and it's been an hour or so by now and he's still very on edge and isn't even eating. Is there anything I can do? I feel horrible :(

Welcome to TCS. Don't beat yourself up over this. Also take a breath and try to relax yourself because cats pick up on our stress.I have startled my cats when vacuuming because I did not know they were asleep under my bed. Your baby will recover. You could also try using play as a distraction.
Did he eat anything today before he got scared? If he has already had something to eat today then I would just give him some more time to settle down.
Does he eat wet food at all? If that is an option try to see if he will respond to the can being opened.

Hi, thanks for the advice :) I think he just needed some time to calm down, because he just came into my room and jumped into bed :) Thank you!
