not sure what to use on the bathroom floor once I move Montana's litter box and food in the bathroom , it's just temporary for awhile until she meets Milo the new kitten , can I use vinegar and water solution  or can I use a drop of Dawn dish soap  and water?

Either one would be fine.  I actually use Mop N Glo and have never had a problem. I did check the material safety data sheet first to make sure it was okay and I keep my cats off it until the floor is dry.

Avoid Lysol and Pine-sol brand products. They contains phenols which are toxic to cats.

Simple Green is touted as non-toxic and safe to use around pets but it's not. My Aby licked some residue off the floor and got sick. Notthing too serious fortunately, just wouldn't eat and generally didn't feel well the next day. The ER vet prescribed some medicine to soothe my Aby's stomach.

A vinegar and baking soda mixture in hot water is a safe cleaner to use. Dawn soap and water is also fine. I suggest following up with a rinse or two of hot water to remove any residue.

Are you planning to put your resident cat in the bathroom? I would really recommend closing up the kitten instead.
