Out cat has seemed like she was ready to birth birth as she was sleeping a lot, eating a little less, can't be left alone...but as of yesterday she is just crazy. Hissinng and attacking both herself on the mirror, but also anyone but my husband who is is claimed favorite. He is very firm with her and she tends to respect that (and the he cuddles her forever.) She also seems want to go outside more than normal (her boyfriend walks around out there.) So today she starts 10 weeks. She really needs to have these babies. Anyone else experience this crazy aggression (sometimes at the same time as purring) right before birth. There is no milk leaking, not mucus coming out. Thanks.

My cat nipples leeked not at all and no discharge untill the day of brith not a really cuddle cat anyhow only liked me until during pregnancy gave birth a day I was home all day. If I hadn't know what was happening the first would of been born under my knees in my bed, I carried her up to nest and sat thrre with for the 5 hour birth. Is there a day your husband could be home all day?
Are you planning on keeping her in and then spaying her before she goes back out ? Sometimes cats become pregnant back to back!
We started to keep her in at anout 5 weeks because she spent the night out and we were worried sick she stayed in until she was spayed when kits were 9 weeks or so

You definitely need to keep her inside until she has delivered and the kittens have weaned. You do not want her to have her kittens outside, and you do not want her to become pregnant again immediately after delivery.

Hi - So our queen had tow kittens very quickly all went well. Now she keeps trying to leave and maybe have another baby elsewhere. We have convinced her to just be a little ways away. She is picking up and seperating kittens. She stands about 10 inches away and meows to them like confused. It has been about 20 minutes since her last birth. Is it normal for her to leave two along and labor another place. We read not to touch, but scared they will get cold. We have space heater on.

Has she bitten off the umbilical cords & eaten the placentas yet of the 2 kittens or is she ignoring them?

You can touch the kittens if your hands are clean. Please put them in a nest with a heating source. Raw rice in a sock, microwaved for 5 minutes holds heat well. Keep mom in the room with them. She needs her food, water, and litter box in there.

Great!

Can you keep her totally inside until the kittens are weaned?
