We brought our kitty home about a year ago ... she was a skinny stray living in the forest near the warehouse where my husband works, and we caught her, took her to the vet for shots and then brought her home for the first time that same day. That day she vomited a few times--it was just a white foamy vomit which I'm guessing was because she was a stray so had nothing in her stomach to throw up. After the first day she was feeling fine and is now a healthy, content kitty. I'm assuming that the vomiting was from the shots though it could have also been the stress of all the things that happened that day.
I am taking her to the vet tomorrow for her shots and checkup and am wondering if I should anticipate more vomiting. Is it wise to avoid feeding her before the appointment? She generally eats around 6am usually after pestering me like crazy to get up and feed her, but really she's the only person who could pester me out of bed that early in the morning because she's so stinking cute.
Her appointment is at 10 and I'd really hate to tell her she can't have breakfast, and I'm not even sure that the vomiting will happen again because her circumstances are so different now. Would any of you put off feeding her before getting her shots or is there just no reason to do this?
Thanks in advance!
