I brought in a cat like 3 weeks ago. Shes a persian, grown up in a house with 10 or more cats. But she has behavior problems. She doesnt like being held. as soon as we hold her, she growls and claws and bites her way off. If on the ground, she turns around to bite my hand or turns on her back to scratch my hand. But she does get friendly sometimes like in the morning or late at night and would roll around my legs, be ok with being touched then. She also hates having her hind legs touched.. She is almost 4 months old, is there a way to fix this behavior? will it go away with time? I want to pet her.. im not used to cats like her... I think she wasnt socialized enough as a kitten but I want to fix her

There is nothing to fix, sorry.

Some cats just don't like being pet. My Link came to me at 5 weeks old and had plenty of human contact prior to it (the people I got him from were passing him off as 8 weeks, I knew better but figured he was better off with me having experience with prenatal kittens than someone who would treat him as his supposed 8 weeks). He would cuddle with me as a kitten but around 5 months old he stopped. He only wants to be pet on his head and anywhere else will earn you a warning nip.

There is nothing wrong with my Link and there is nothing wrong with your cat. Sounds like she is only aggressive when you try to pet outside her comfort zone so stop trying to pet her there and accept her boundaries.

You might with time and trust be able to expand her boundaries. Light touching of sides or pats but the more you try to push her boundaries the more she will distrust you now. So please, leave her be and accept her as she is. Maybe in a year or two she'll change her mind or tolerate more touching but you have to wait for her to desire it. She is the only being touched after all.

I will add a note that you may be seeing sensitivity due to a medical issue. So a full workup and xrays might be warranted to rule out medical problems. But given her age it is unlikely.
