As i write this i am crying, they just called to let me know my baby JAxx remains were ready to pick up... I had and fell in love with my handsome baby (5 month old) for almost 3 months.. He had a sneezy cold that lead to so many complications.. and i had to make the decision.. i can tell u i stayed and held him.. and kissed his face and died a little myself.. but what helped me was.. i know this will sound crazy..he told me.. he told me mamma im ready.. .. it was the look in his eyes, him not being able to stand without tipping over.. his disheveled fur.. he didnt purr.. i wanted and did all i could $4 K in bills.. i would have paid whatever i had to to make him better.. but as his mamma.. i knew i could not let him suffer.. he is my forever baby kitty.. My love and respect for my Jaxx let me listen to what he wanted.. needed.. and i have peace in my heart that i did what was right.. because his eyes told me.. Im so sorry..it is so hard.. im still crying daily and its been 8 days..

@Lily PaddyVery sorry to hear about your Jaxx. We love them so deeply and it's so hard to let go. It is a comforting image to think of him running over that rainbow bridge and being free. Heal in your own good time, let nobody tell you that it's just a cat. This is what it's like to close something in your heart and then being left with only empty space. Be gentle with yourself and think of how much richer you life has become because Jaxx was in it.

You made a selfless decision to ease the suffering of Jaxx. He knows you loved him and did everything you could. I am so sorry for your loss. Run free little Jaxx and know you will always be loved and remembered.

The pain of a broken heart can be overwhelming at times, especially with the loss of one so young and so loved. Take comfort in knowing you did all you could, you tried, but he let you know that the time had come to let go of the suffering. You took on his pain as your own, time is the only thing that helps now. It will soften the sharp agony and bring you to realize that your little boy will be with you forever, the bond of love you formed can never be taken from you, it is spiritual and so will be in your heart for eternity. You know he would never want you to spend the rest of your life in mourning, he loves you too much for that. Try not to dwell on the end, but celebrate knowing him, and sharing your life's journey with him for the time you had. Use your precious memories of happier times for comfort, and that bond of love to send him your prayers and dreams, he will return his as well. My heart goes out to you, I know you didn't have long with that sweet boy, I'll pray for you both. I know he is so grateful for having you in his life, he knew love and caring, that is all he ever wanted. Every day you got to spend with him is a precious moment, and you are so much richer for having him and for the love he brought into your life. Please know we share your pain, take care.......RIP baby Jaxx, a world is darker because of your passing, please send what comfort you can to the one who loves and misses you so very much. Sweet dreams little prince!

I cry when I read about kitties passing so young. How tragic! I am truly sorry for your loss of your sweet Jaxx. Losing a sweet kitty so young just seems so unfair. Jaxx was so loved and should have had a long, happy, and healthy life. I will never understand why things like this happen. You loved your baby and he knew that. You gave him a warm, loving home and so much love. He loved you so much as well. He will always be with you. The love you and your Jaxx shared will live on forever!
RIP Precious Jaxx!
You were so loved and will live on in the hearts of those that loved you so much.
Please comfort them, as they are missing you so very much!

I can't think of much worse than having to deal with kitten euthanasia...Godspeed to you and your dear Jaxx! Big hugs, I've had to do it twice and it wasn't even my kitten...destroyed me nonetheless.

I am so very sorry and sad to read this story, you loved him and he loved you, you did all that you could for him, more even, but for some reason Heaven needed a little angel. But as hard as it was to do it, you did what was right for him; the time together never feels like it is long enough no matter how young or how old they are. So sad...

The memories of that last moment will stay with you forever, but with the passing of time it will "soften" somewhat. I still can easily recall holding Simon and then Sebastian as they passed, how they felt, how I felt, how hard it was when I realized the moment when their Earthly life left them. I don't think I'll ever forget it completely.

I know that I speak of him so often on here that it probably drives some people nuts, but if I can ask you to go to "the cat's meow" forum and on page 2 there is my story "I'd like to tell you about my little buddy Sylvester", how I came to get him after losing the two boys mentioned above, how he has restored my heart and is a wonderful tribute to those boys. If you want to see him you can see a picture we put up (I'm not very good at that!) in the "terrific tuxedos" post in I believe the "fur pictures and video only" section. I think reading about his story in some way may help you, and perhaps as time goes on you yourself might find an opportunity to help another cat and also pay tribute to your little Jaxx.

May your heart heal a little more each day....God Bless......
