My Persian kitten, Juniper, keeps getting a lot of fur stuck in her eyes. I have been trying to clean it out with saline and qtips, but I don't want to accidentally hurt her. Anyone have any better ideas? I know Persians need to have their faces washed often because they have watery eyes, but I never knew that getting fur stuck in their eyes could be an issue.

Is the fur above her eyes that is getting into the eye? You might want to try what we do for the show halls - use a small pair if blunt nosed shears and lightly trim the fur just above the eye. We do it to 'round the eye and make them more noticeable. If it is below the eye use thinning shears to trim it. If this intimidates you try a small comb while the coat is wet from cleaning to try to comb the hair away from the eye - this may not work, but it is worth a try.

Are you wiping from the nose side to the outer edge of the eye? When cleaning it is best to finish with that way since it  smooths the coat down the way it should lay.
