I've bought myself lots of little presents over the past few weeks, but I don't really think of the as Christmas gifts.

Do you prefer baths or showers?

I like a shower.  A good, hot, soaking bath is enjoyable and sometimes therapeutic.  But I find a shower so much more efficient.

Do you like to listen to music when you are at home?

I listen to music at home, especially while I'm taking a nice long soak in s hot bath. (Living in Ecstasy.....)

Do you like to eat raw carrots?

Love raw carrots (so does Jackie, The Beast. She gets them as her treat when she comes inside after going to the bathroom).

Do you like to cook?

Yes very much. (French and Spanish cooking)

Do you watch the Olympic Games?

Sometimes, especially the skating.

What world leader (alive or not)  do you especially admire?

Aung San Suu Kyi springs immediately to mind. She gave up so much and she's still walking an amazingly difficult tightrope.

China. Il y a quelques anées my husband and I  had to cancel a trip to China because of health reasons. We had even taken lessons in the Chinese language. I have always regretted not to have gone to China.

No.
 I have been to the opera a couple times, a long while ago. I should go again. I'm right up the street from the LA Opera, featuring Placido Domingo.

No, but it is on my top 10 places to visit. It must be amazing.

Yes

Have you ever rescued a cat from a tree? 

Yes, I have. She was a neighbor's cat who'd managed to get her pelvis lodged in a Y of a tree branch. She'd been up there a day.

Have you rescued an animal in any way?

Yes, I've rescued lots of feral cats by TNR and I've re-homed lots of kittens too. Oh, and I once helped to free a sheep that had got her head stuck through a fence.

How do you help yourself remember appointments? 

 I have appointments listed in a small notebook calendar I carry with me everywhere I go, as well as in the calendar app on my phone/laptop.  I check the notebook frequently and the app sends out alerts.

Do plan to move within the next year?

I sure hope not! Moving house with 20+ cats should be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.



Do you have any trips planned for this year?

I'm on a trip right now actually! I'm in Estonia.

I haven't planned but hope my husband and I can have a big multi-week vacation this year. We haven't been able to for the last two years. Maybe our several-years-delayed honeymoon. We want to go to the Galápagos Islands.
