Also, I've been playing her a purring track on youtube, hoping it will make things easier for her:

I honestly don't know. At a guess, I'd say every 2-3 hours, as she likely won't be eating much per feed. Hopefully someone with more experience can help you with this one :cross:

Sending a ton of :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

Syringe feed her as often as every hour if possible, consuming yes, definitely, but rather than fill her tummy and make her system work hard to digest, small amts given often will be much easier on her, and you since it won't be trying to get as much in to her as less often.

If this is or seems impossible, go for every 2 hours.

Almost anything liquidy is fine right now as it will keep her hydrated so her organs can function,  best is formula if possible, blended chicken with water added, meat baby food but think you mentioned unavailable (what do people feed their babies besides veggies??) smooth canned cat food with water added, etc.

She may very well not make it, but will surely not make it if she is not fed at all, so well worth the efforts in case she is not too far gone.

She is just a doll! Is this pic recent or no?

I don't believe she hates you, she is mose likely grumpy about having to be handled and not be in control, esp when she feels sick.   I am sure she knows you are caring for her and doing this with love.

:yeah: She may hate the process of force feeding, but that does NOT mean that she hates you :alright: I had a cat who needed an aerosol chamber an inhalers to help his breathing, along with countless other meds. He hated the process, but not me. I'm sure that Dollsy is the same :hugs: Cats are sensitive creatures, and they know when they're loved, and when you're trying to help them. Don't beat yourself up about this. She still loves you, and knows that you love her.

Stay as calm and matter of fact about all this as you can - she'll pick up on your stress very quickly, so staying calm is one of the best things you can do to make things easier for you both. She knows you're doing your best for her :hugs::vibes:

She doesn't hate you. she hates not having a choice in the matter.

Calicos and torties are tougher cookies anyway with strong personalities, not the easy going type as black kitties are for sure.

My girl Krissy is a tough cookie too, headstrong, determined.

It's a girl thing :) It's only needing to be done until she eats on her own, if she is able to get through this.

Hang in there, stay determined and vigilant, even if she is unable to pull through, you will know in your heart you did all in your power to save her as is possible.

Even though she hates being forced to eat, cats know why you are doing what you're doing.

I have been fortunate with not having too many illnesses go thru my collection of pusses. The one that sticks in my mind is a flu like illness that somehow infected everyone. They were very lethargic and obviously ill, but they didn't have the same types of symptoms that I would have expected. There was some vomiting, but not too much...more of a lack of appetite. They had an occasional cough, but again, not too much and not much of a runny nose either. Even though there weren't too much in the way of symptoms, but they were pretty sick. After about 3-4 days.

When I read posts about people who would often trade their lives for their tiny ball of fur, I have to admit that it sometimes brings a tear to my eyes. It is reassuring to know that I'm not the only one out there that feels this way when you come across a tiny creature that is in need of a helper. While I can't promise a positive outcome to this sad little kitten's tale, I know that everything that can reasonably be done has been done and if love and care were dollars, this little one would be very rich. I wish you the best, Dollsy. If you decide to leave this world early, I have a dozen or more old friends that will look after you...but I'm hoping and praying that you decide to stay around for 20 years or so!

She just pooped out blood. Like it didn't even look like poop. Just looked like diluted blood. She's not going to make it, is she?

This virus assuming it is what she has, will do that sometimes.

What does/did her or the other's vomit look like? Color is important.
