Sugar was MIA for hours on Wednesday. She got home on her own but in the mean time the vet thinks she's been clipped by a car. She had dried saliva on her side but no sign of a fight or mauling.

All the vet can do is give her pain killers. Does anyone anything further to add? I can't stop her jumping on things. Has anyone ever tried reiki?

You could also discuss with your vet "cage rest" whereby you crate her for a period of time in order to recover and avoid jumping etc.  Most vets will do a phone consult for an existing condition if they have seen the cat in person for the condition prior to the call.
