Fleas / treatment / acting differently

I've had my cat Bella for 2 years and sadly found she has fleas so I treated her with advantage flea drops I got off my vets awhile back I no longer go to that vet as thy where ripping me off, I am worried I haven't done the treatment properly my ex used to do it for me she is constantly licking herself and I'm worried she's licking the treatment. I've noticed she's a tad moody tried making my bed after washing it with having flea dirt on my bed and she was a tad annoyed I was trying to move her and went to scratch me which she never does I'm in the process of looking into getting house treatment as I am cringing at the thought of her having them every time she is scratching I'm checking if there is any flea on the bed where she currently won't leave. I don't know if I've done enough to help her treatment wise and I can't really afford to see a vet and I don't think my nearest pdsa would accept me I just don't want anything bad to happen to her as she is also my sons cat

Also any advice on how to stop them biting me would be appreciated I cAnt stop scratching my feet and ankles

Couple questions, you said got it 'from a while back'  - I know this is a silly question, but did you check the expiration date? I wanted to use a treatment I got two months ago but saw it expired so quickly and threw it away.  Just because it sounds like you're saying her behavior has changed. Any change in behavior should be monitored. If she has licked and ingested the treatment, she will likely need to see a vet. It may only cause light stomach issues, but it could be worse too. I would watch her closely. Is she eating and using the litterbox okay? Playful?

It sounds like the fleas are in the bedding and you as well. If you can manage a bath for Bella, you can use a little bit of Dawn and warm water and that usually helps kill or get rid of fleas. Scrub her lightly but well. Also buy a flea comb they're amazing. Also try 50% water 50% organic apple cider vinegar as well which you can also use on your sheets with some soap. 

But in the meantime, again - keep an eye on her. If it's expired or if she ingested it you will have to go to the vet I think.

Thanks for your reply the fleas seem to be dying when she scratches they are coming off her onto my bed and I'm constantly removing what I see I have 2 foggers that I need to set off tomorrow the expiration was 2019 so still in date.
I just have to be persistent and hope these treatments work I can't stop itching I'm doing a lot of washing to make sure none are in my clothes etc

Yes sounds like you're doing everything right. Just make sure Bella isn't near the foggers when you set them off as they're toxic and be sure to wash down surfaces after the fogger.

Yeah thanks i have to keep her outside for 2 hours or more dreading it as its starting to get really cold now

Thanks things seems to a bit better now not itching as much and she doesn't seem to be scratching herself much either I flogged the house but I noticed today she may of been sick on my floor I didn't hear her do it so I'm keeping an eye on if she does it again

Urgh failed attempt with floggers I'm still getting bitten like mad I can't seem to win
