I would like to give a shout-out to Dear Richard. I know you guys don't know him. But he's such a good guy. I was going crazy with baking and cleaning yesterday. He brought dinner home; yeah it was fast food. I appreciated every bite because I didn't have to cook it. He did the trash last night and cleaned out the litterboxes because I was baking. Usually I help with those chores, but I didn't have time.

This morning, he vacuumed (and he vacuums so much better than I do). Whenever he saw me washing dishes, he came right over, grabbed the dish towel and dried. I forgot to get napkins; he stopped at the store on his way in to pick up his mother and grabbed a pack of napkins. He helped me put the extra board in the table and then helped me set the table for dinner.

After dinner, he got right up and helped to clear the table. He helped me serve our pies and cookies for dessert. He put the leftovers into containers and got it all in the fridge. I got everything I could into the dishwasher, but there was still a ton of dishes. So I washed and he dried. He took the trash out for me. Took his mother home. While he was gone, I took the extra board back out of the table and put the kitchen back together. He got back home, put the table board away.

Normally, my GF would have helped me and she did offer. But she just had had that stent put in because of her heart and I just wanted her to sit back and relax. Rick knew that and he took right over.

He and I sat down with the newspaper flyers to figure out where we were going tomorrow and what we might be interested in. And then he came back to the computer and ordered my Fitbit Blaze. In plum.
He found it at Best Buy at a better price than at Fitbit. Can't beat that.

He's in the living room watching a football game. I'm going to get him a piece of pumpkin pie and then I'm taking my iPad and Mollipop and I are going to bed.

Rick will do anything he can to help me out. I appreciate him, even more than he knows. And yes, I did thank him tonight and I told him that I appreciated everything he did. I know how lucky I am.

You're so lucky!

Mr Husband is a wonderful guy and I wouldn't change him for the world, but he's really not much use around the house. If ever there is a rock face you need scaling, a mountain you need snowboarding down or a lake you need someone to kayak across he's your man, but housework? Nah, not so much.

Good job Richard.

Considering you've been together for decades now, it's amazing how good you both are to each other. Says me with the dysfunctional marriage. :smshfrk:
