My Velvet Has Crossed the bridge Yesterday.

My sweet Baby velvet passed away Surrounding by her family and her Sister Annie. She was only 4yrs old. I rescued her and her siblings about 4yrs ago in my backyard.She was Pretty Feral when she was a kitten. but once i brought her in and her siblings to. Velvets attitude change she became a good house cat and she also had gave birth to 7 beautiful babys 2 of the cats from her i still have i guess they didnt wanna go so they remained. she had her own unique attitude.Velvet was the type that if u stopped giving her attention she would latch on to your Hair with her teeth but never did it to hurt anyone. i got a cat pole with feathers on it for the cats to play with it. well velvet leaped up and got it and tore the feathers right off within the first day i bought it. she was a good cat even though she was scared of kids. it took her a long long time to get used to them. Velvet was gonna go to the vet because i had hopes of her surviving. but by the time i could even get her in she was gone. i wish my velvet could of showed me what was wrong with her. she could of been still alive. Back in october she had lost weight i didnt think nothing of it i thought it was the food so i switched over and she started eating again and being her normal self. My Vet believes she had fatty liver disease because of the final stages she went through, which i told him she didnt show me any signs or anything he said she dont have to because cats are tricky, i tried everything even down to syringe feeding her and her sister Annie was cleaning her.and laying on top of her for what i dont know. We finally Buried her in front of garden by our Virgin Mary Statue Some of our tnr cats scattered when they saw her. Velvets Mother who is a TnR cat sat on the arbor above us and watched the whole time.we named her velvet because of her beautiful black coat and her Gold color eyes. which im gonna miss. And Now Annie has Distant herself ever since Velvet went Away. she still comes out to Eat and Drink water i tried to play with her and she would play for about a minute and she will run away after that. And im sorry for the loss to Anyone who has lost a pet.

I'm so, so sorry to hear of the passing of your Velvet. What an amazing story of love the two of you shared even if for too short of time. Velvet chose you as her person and also chose to leave this world on her own terms with the same dignity she lived her whole life and comforted in the home she loved surround by the ones she loved. Please take comfort in those things as they were so important to Velvet. Hold on to Annie and Velvet's babies. All of you will grieve in your own ways but will need to look after each other...Velvet would want that. Annie will need you to be patient with her as she grieves the loss of her sister. Please know that your beautiful Velvet is happy, healthy and running free on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

You did a wonderful thing for her years ago, she loved you and you loved her, she is grateful for the time that you spent together, you have no regrets, only that you wish the time together would have been longer. Cats are masters at hiding disease, and it is usually too late when we do find something wrong, so please don't feel badly that she didn't let you know earlier. Perhaps you can show another one in need the same love when the time is right.

I am so sorry for your loss of sweet Velvet.  It warms my heart knowing that you took her in as a feral.  You mentioned your TNR cats, and I want to say bless you for everything you do.  I hope Annie gets back to herself soon.

I hope you find some comfort in knowing that you made sure her life was full of love and that she didn't have to live a brutal life going day from day just trying to survive. It is so heartbreaking to see them move on to their next journey. Rest in Peace Velvet know that you will always be loved and missed 

Velvet is at peace now, knowing she was so loved and has left someone behind that will remember and love her, it is all she ever wanted. You made such a difference in those little ones lives, for that you will be blessed. She lived her life as she wanted, and she would never want you to be sad when remembering her. Try not to dwell on the end, but celebrate having her to share your life for a little while, she brought so much to it. Your broken heart will mend in time, and she is in that heart, held there tenderly for all time. Thank you for letting us know of this courageous little girl, she will be thought of and mourned by many now, as is only right. Take care and kiss those that remain behind in your care, we hold them for just a little while, but have them forever in our precious memories. Her Sister Annie is getting better she does do deep vocals here and their but not as Bad. i been playing with her along with my other Kitties.
