BEFORE
Hello everyone, my name is Anna and I live in Greece. In September my husband found a stray kitten behind the place he works in VERY bad shape. She was abandoned by her mother and her foot was shredded, her face was bitten (or injured), she was so thin and dirty. We took her to the vet and he stitched up her foot as best he could. He was worried that he might have to eventually amputate her poor paw, but tried some antibiotics for 2 weeks, first.
We already have a chihuahua who is pretty well behaved, just does not liked to be bothered by other animals, so it was a difficult decision to bring this kitten home. The kitty was in a kennel and I had her in a separate room. She sat in the kennel and didnt move for days, only to go to the "bathroom" or to eat. I had her separated from my dog, so it wasnt all that difficult. Not really fair to the dog who was used to having freedom of the whole house, poor girl.
Now, this was supposed to be a temporary living arrangment, just until she had her round of antibiotics and then we would rehome her... RIGHT!!! She is here almost 2 months later...in perfect health! Very lively, playful, strong , she is all over the place. Best of all, you would never know she almost lost a leg. I love her to bits and sorry to say I was not a cat lover...at all.
Look at me now!
This is too long! I look forward to learning new things because it seems she is here to stay. I still have a little problem with my dog because kitty wants to play...doggy tries to stay away... so I hope I can get information here.
