what is toothpaste?

Just kidding- Colgate or kids type.. whatever appeals to me. I use all of them but wish they had less salt in them. Makes my mouth super dry. Gonna check out Tom's from Maine. I remember trying when I was a teen and it was yucky...but..its now 20 years later lol..

Toms of Maine does taste yucky when you first use it. But once you get used to it you will not want to use anything else.

I think Tom's of Maine is yucky tasting at first because it's not full of artificial sweeteners or anything so it tastes "off" to our tastebuds. I agree that once you are used to it, you don't want to use anything else! Other toothpastes will then taste yucky and overpowering.

Minty toothpaste makes me gag in the morning. So usually I have one mint flavor and one non-mint flavor. Non-mint toothpaste is really hard to find! Colgate had an orange flavor for a while but I can't find it anymore. Tom's of Maine makes a few different non-mint flavors, but the only one I can find locally is the kids' Silly Strawberry flavor. Which is OK although I like their apricot one better. But I need to special order that one so I rarely get it. I can go back and forth between Tom's of Maine minty toothpaste and regular minty toothpaste now, it doesn't bother me. But yeah, natural toothpastes do take some adjustment. For the mint toothpaste I just buy whatever catches my eye, although generally I prefer Colgate over Crest.

Right now I have: Tom's of Maine Silly Strawberry and Colgate Sparkling White Mint Zing.

I usually use Colgate enamel repair, or sensodyne, (both whitening formulas) but saw a new colgate one, Enamel Health Mineral Repair, so am trying that one now. I like it so far.

I have very little enamel left on my teeth from years of grinding my teeth in my sleep, without knowing it, so I have sensitive spots too!
