what flea control...? advantage, program, frontline, revolution, capstar

Wow, I just didn't realize there were so many flea control products!! Can anyone tell me if there are reasons why one would be better than the other? Is there some type of quick reference or article that compares them?

I'm thinking of picking up advantage from fleameds.com because they have a good price and another member here just said they had a good experience with them.

Oh yeah I thought maybe I should tell you one of the reasons why I'm going to pick this stuff up. Well Zero's mommy is out of town for a bit so I have to try and make up the slack. It's too sad that he is couped up in the house all day and often I'm not even there. So I decided that I'd finally let him outside....

BUT I could not bear to actually let him completely roam free. I am too afraid that he will get hit or attacked by a dog or something. I took him out on the leash the other day but our leash is just way to freakin short for him, and he doesn't like me sneaking behind him, it's hard for him to 'hunt' etc. So then I decided that I should get some type of twine and tie it to the leash or directly to his harness, so I don't have to be so close. Effectively I would be 'tying him out' like a dog almost, ha! But this would be under supervision of course, so he doesn't get tangled or anything. For instance I can tie him out while I'm washing the car, BBQ'ing on the grill, weedwacking (not close to him of course) etc.

Silly idea?
