Cat ate a drop of paint

I was painting and the cat had a drop of paint fall on him. He licked it off before I could get to him. It is the paint plus primer in one but it was only one drop. This happened about 7 hours ago and he is playing and eating normally. Any need for concern?

I'd keep a very close eye on the cat for the next few days. Paint contains all sorts of chemicals which can be harmful to a cat. A small amount may likely just cause an upset tummy but every cat is different. If you see any unusual behavior in your cat or a lack of eating or using the litter box, take your cat to the vet immediately along with the product info for the paint that you were using. The vet can look up the info for the paint and determine if it contains anything toxic to a cat.
