My 6 month old had exploratory surgery this morning at 930am. They found an enlarged liver. And sent a sample to the lab for testing. I picked my cat up around 430pm. They said she was still coming off the anesthesia so she would be very groggy, out of it and or lethargic for the day. Ever since I brought her home, took her out of her carrier and laid her down on her bed of blanket and always wrapped another blanket around her. She has not moved since. She is still breathing and her eyes would open very very little. My concern is that she has not moved at all. She has laid in the same position since I brought her home. Is she still under the affects of the anesthesia ? I googled it and most cats most surgery can still move and walk just wobbly and disoriented. However my cat has not made one single move. Is this normal?

I would worry about this tomorrow morning. Definitely take her to the vet then if there is no improvement. What can an enlarged liver cause? Is it serious?

Is there an after-hours number for your vet to find out if this is a normal reaction?
