One of our cats has unusually long, thick, and plentiful whiskers.  They're super cute, but she tends to get food stuck in them! I'm always afraid to clean them for her because I know that whiskers are so sensitive. But I also hate the idea of letting her walk around with food hanging on her face. Does anyone have experience with this?

Are you using a round dish that's too small? Is that the reason why food is lodged on her whiskers? If yes, change it to a shallower oval or rectangular dish. That way her whiskers won't touch the food while she is eating.
It's ok to clean the whiskers as long as you wipe her face/mouth backwards and not against the flow of her whiskers. Wipe gently.
