L lysine increased thirst

Hi all

My 5 year old cat Jesse is taking l-lysine treats twice a day 250mg as she came down with symptoms of coughing/ retching (now gone) but still has a hoarse throat. She has been taking the l lysine for 6 days now and is urinating more and drinking much more water. Has anyone else experienced increased thirst with l lysine? I am unsure whether it is the lysine or something else to do with her throat which is causing this.

just bumping this up for you.  Sorry, I've  never given L-Lysine, so can't answer your question.  If you don't get your answer here, you could always just call your Vet and ask them if they've ever heard of that happening.  But increased thirst is never something to take lightly.
