Question of the day - Thursday 17 November

Hi everyone


I currently have a cold as I type this 10 days in and no sign of it easing yet
I'm not normally one to moan about colds but this one is a stinker :nod:


So, for today's question .......



When did you last have a cold ?

Last winter, more of the "creeping crud" as my dad called it - my regular colds tend to morph into much worse illnesses (bronchitis for instance).

A couple of years ago I think. I don't remember 

I usually get a doozy of a cold at least once a year, right around the time the seasons change, winter into spring and then again fall into winter. Sometimes I get lucky and only get one cold....so far I had one this past spring, so maybe I'll luck out this winter.

A few weeks ago and it left a horrible cough that is finally going away.

I used to get about one a year but I have not gotten one in over 10 years. Wash your hands.

it's been about......7 years since i've caught a cold. the last one, i caught from my niece while babysitting her and my nephew. it took two 10-day rounds of antibiotics to rid myself of that nasty cold.

i should add that since then i take some preventative measures. during the cold weather months, i make sure to eat a lot of chicken based soups as well as drink juice once a day that has a good vitamin c content in it.

I haven't had a cold in years, and I don't know how many. I'm no longer working, so I'm not in daily contact with people, which probably helps, and I also get a flu shot every year. The last cold I remember  was really bad, and morphed into pneumonia. I was sick for 5 months. That was 10 years ago.

I also get a pneumonia shot, too.

Last month. It was minor and I didn't need to take OTC medicine. The last time I got a serious cold was about two years ago. I couldn't go to work for a week because I was a stuffed up congested mess.

Actually I haven't had a cold for a long time. I use a neti pot every morning (Thanks for the tip @Mani  ) so I've been spared the sniffles this year.

I rarely get colds & don't remember the last one.

I can't even remember. It has been so long. I mix honey and vinegar in equal proportions and keep it in a jar by the kitchen sink. I try to remember to take a tablespoon every day. I think it keeps me feeling good. :nod:
