I just brought her home today, she hasn't eaten much. And I haven't seen her drink water yet. But she's happy and currently laying on me, isn't showing any discomfort at all. I'm just worried cause I've heard the eyelid thing can mean there's an issue? But I couldn't find any info on if it was any different with a 3-4 month old kitten.

She is beautiful.

Do you mean that you just adopted her today, and brought her home from a shelter?

It does look like she may have irritated that left eye, by scratching it...or she could possibly have an eye infection, which is quite common for young kittens to get?

Has she been seen by a Vet, yet?

If not, just bring her in, and get that eye checked. The vet will examine the eye, and give you medicated eye drops to clear up any infection.

What have you named her?

I did bring her home yesterday, someone was rehoming her, so not a shelter. She hasn't seen a vet yet but I plan to take her asap :) she isn't blinking excessively and her eye hasn't gotten any worse. I think it might be from her climbing into my old chair, because its pretty dusty inside... So I'm keeping her out of that room for now. She's eating now, and although I havn't seen her drink a ton she's used the liter box regularly.I'm still trying to decide on a name :)

Ahh, yes, I forgot that when they are small kittens...they manage to fit into places that regular sized cats couldn't fit into.

(My cats, when small, managed to explore and roam under every sofa, bed, dresser,...and came out looking like 'dusted swiffer mops'. Basically, I think they were telling me to clean under those favourite hiding spots. I had no idea they loved exploring every inch of the place.)

Sorry about the 'dumb question' about the name, yet.

Since you just got her, ...you need time to choose a name that goes with her personality.

When you take her to your vet, they will probably also suggest having her dewormed.

I did read that worms, especially tapeworms, can cause the third eyelid to show. I just don't remember where I read it.

Good Luck with your sweet girl.
