Hello!

My two 4 year olds have been eating the same Meow Mix since they were kittens. They have a habit of puking after eating. It's always whole pieces of food, so I think they just aren't chewing/swallowing correctly, they always eat fast.  They behave perfectly healthy otherwise.

Is there a dry food I should switch to to minimize this? Maybe with smaller pellets? Just wondering.

Sounds like they are eating too fast and/or reacting to something in the food.

A good remedy for after meal pukers is to feed wet food (wet food has less starch than dry, which is usually causing the upset. A burst of carbs causes alkaline stomach conditions which upsets a Kitty's stomach). You can divvy out the portions in small amounts so that the cats have time to settle their tums before their next bite.

Fancy Feast Classics, Sheba Pates, and Feline Cuisine are all grain free and super cheap wet foods that are widely available and affordable. Try dividing two 3oz cans for each cat over the course of a day and see how they do

Try raising their bowls up a couple of inches - this will slow them down.  You can also try putting a golf ball or upside down glass in their bowl to push the food out to the edge which also slows them down.

I am not sure that changing dry food brands will slow them down but you could do better than Meow Mix in terms of their nutrition.  Check out the following article for some advice on picking out a good dry food for your kitties:  http://www.thecatsite.com/a/how-to-choose-the-best-dry-cat-food    The article makes the point that many people prefer to feed their cats wet food, or a mixture of both so you might consider replacing the dry with wet.   If you do stick with dry food, try to find one that is grain free and high in protein.  One of those often recommended is Orijen cat food.

The canned foods that @Manx suggests above are good choices for wet.

Thanks guys! I'll try these suggestions and update with how the kitties respond.
