With 4 adults (13 years, 10 years, 10 years, and 8 years) and a 6 month old kitten, I go through A LOT of canned food. About 50 cans for 5-6 weeks. I think it's time to look into buying in bulk....does anyone know where I can get bulk cat food? I primarily use friskies, but mine also love fancy feast, blue buffalo, meow mix, instinct, etc. For people that rescue/foster/run a cattery/are a breeder, do you buy in bulk? Why or why not? Where do you get it from? What brand? How many cans? I want to buy hundreds of cans. Is this possible?

Note: my cats do NOT go through enough kibble in order for me to buy in bulk. I'm only interested in buying canned in bulk. Thanks!

I'm not aware of any bulk canned food options. I wish! I just buy from chewy.com and Amazon. 13-oz Friskies cans are only $1 and the 5.5-oz cans are under 50 cents from chewy. No tax, and no shipping if you order over $50. I have it on autoship so i don't have to worry about running out, or keeping several months' worth on hand. Plus UPS brings it right to your door.

If you're going to use 5.5-oz cans of Friskies you might as well stick with the big box at Sam's Club. That's cheaper. No reason to buy anywhere else unless you want a flavor that isn't in the box. Their prices on Fancy Feast are the best too.

For Amazon I have a couple bags of Pro Plan kibble and 4 bags of crystal litter on monthly Subscribe and Save. I also regularly buy 13-oz cans of Poultry Platter Friskies (chewy doesn't have that flavor, and it's not available for S&S so I have to make a separate order). I can get those for about the same price locally but it's just so easy to have FedEx bring it to me instead :D. And Walmart frequently has stocking problems so I can't be guaranteed they'll have it on the shelf when I go shopping. But that only works if you have Amazon Prime.

Do you have a Dollar Tree nearby? If so, you can order 13-oz cans of Friskies for $1 each online, and have them shipped to the store for free pickup.

By buying in bulk, do you mean larger sized cans of food (like the 12 or 13 oz ones)  or regular sized cans in large packs? (or both?)   Chewy.com has packs of 24 or 32 cans (in the standard 3 oz or 5.5. oz) that work out to be a little cheaper than purchasing individual cans for most brands but I'm not sure where you can get a larger quantity together than that.
