Hello all! I have a 2 year old baby named Boo. We noticed that she is shedding and scratching a lot more lately. When she scratches, we notice that a lot of black specks that look like dirt fall out as well. When I am petting her you can feel that she has thin fur and you can also feel where some spots feel fuzzy like if new hair is growing in. We are going to make an appointment for her to be seen this week but we are just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this. She was a 6 month old stray at my parents house when we found her and since then she is 100% indoors but still just not sure and I'm getting worried. She also has what feels like a bite that's crusted over on one of her shoulder blades. We figured it was from rough housing with our other baby. We notice that when it is crusted over and she scratches, that area has hair chunks that come out too. Aside from that she is totally fine. Just as sweet and hyper as always. Just worried about her and too anxious to wait until her vet appointment this week. Thanks all!
