Do you know what could be the matter with Luke? I'm going to have to take him to the vet Monday. I hope he'll be OK. Luke has lost all control of his front R leg. It acted up a few days ago but yesterday it seemed normal. Today he's lost all control in it.

He's 11 or 12 and doesn't get much exercise. I feed them mostly raw, grain free canned food, and canned fish with raw egg.

My moms cat has diabetes which is fairly common in older cats, especially if they are overweight, and he sometimes loses the loss of his limbs but I think it's primarily his back ones. Is he exhibiting any other odd behaviors? Still eating and using the litter box? Taking him to the vet is a must even if he regains control of it, so I'm glad you'll be taking him.

Hi,

I hate to say it but I took Lukey to the emergency vet place 15 miles away on Sunday and he didn't make it out of there alive. They took Xrays and he had fluid in his lungs and labored breathing, and CHF that caused a blood clot so I decided to let him go. It tore me up quite a bit. I had him almost exactly 11 years.

Lukey was so lucky to have had you all those years. You kept him warm and safe, fed and loved, and that's so much more than so many cats ever know.

I'm so sorry
I lost my 16 year old Callie to kidney disease earlier this year, and it never gets any easier.

Run free at the bridge,
Lukey

Thank you. It sure hurts to lose a pet you loved. It was unexpected and sudden. He didn't suffer much, but I miss him terribly. I buried him just outside my BR window. He was an awesome cat.
