Too early for Black Friday preview ads?

Aren't the Black Friday previews supposed to be coming out around now? I'm not planning on buying gifts but I do need to stock up on canned food and I need a bag of bedding for the roommates. Does anone know when Petco and Petsmart put out their sales ad? I know last year both chains had huge sales on food.

I've seen some for cars, but that's about all. Check the websites. They will have notices about sales on them

LTS3, last year, PetSmart was completely insane when it opened. We were standing in line outside with everybody else....true cat people!  Tidy Cats was ridiculously low, to the point where people came in with huge mill floor carts and bought tons and tons. I think we bough 12 tubs. Friskies was such a great price; we bought a ton of that, too. Plus, every person who entered the store received a coupon for $10 off pretty much anything. We saved a small fortune. 

That will be our very first stop again this year on Black Friday. It is very much worth it. 

I usually have to work on Black Friday, last year I went to Petsmart to get litter after work, and they were out already :/. The employee said that they had filled the entire back area with pallets of litter but they still ran out before noon. Every other year I've done the same and they always had some left over. But it seems like everyone knowns about it now and they'll run out quickly. I did get a couple cases of Friskies. Other than that, no, I don't bother with Black Friday shopping, in stores anyway. I do watch Amazon's countdown sales and if there's something I like I'll buy it.

Yes, I remember that you had posted about that I try to avoid Black Friday at all cost. Sometimes stores extend their sales for the entire weekend or have a separate weekend so I try to make a trip at some point that weekend. I'm mostly interested in Petco since they sell NV canned. Whichever pet store has bedding on sale is the one I'll go to. I'm giong to also look for the local independent stores to post their ads. It's usually not a huge sale like the chain stores but sometimes there's a deal or two. One local store is already advertising a "Small Business Saturday" special of a $10 gift card with a $50 purchase.
