I'm still fighting back tears, so please pardon if I forget to mention anything or if there are typos..
Our boy, Morris, started shows signs of sickness last night which included: Being lethargic, not eating (but drinking), labored and bubbling sounding breathing. We decided to bring him to the Vet bright and early today so see what was going on. The x-ray showed a blockage of hairball I believe. So long story short, it took them hours to decide if surgery should be done for it since inducing vomit didn't really help too much. I received that dreadful call from the Vet around 7pm tonight telling me that his nose was gushing fluid and that his heart gave out just as they were prepping him for surgery. I asked him what exactly happened since this all went by in a flash, and he wasn't really sure. Just said the breathing issue was distress and it's possible, but not certain, that maybe it could've been caused by a defect. I'm so heartbroken over this whole situation, as he was just fine 24 hours prior to this. Any insight or ideas as to what happened are greatly appreciated.
