I found a young female tabby cat on the 1st Nov 16. We are not allowed any pets so can't keep her. She followed me home so we fed her some tuna. She was severely underweight and is still thin but is looking a lot healthier. She is extremely friendly and just likes to sleep and be cuddled. We live in the Haringey area. I really don't want to put her into the RSPCA as she is a sweet cat and we have fell in love with her but we can't keep her. Can anyone pls give her a loving caring home so we don't have to worry about her?

Have you thought about contacting the Battersea Cat and Dog Home?  https://www.battersea.org.uk/

"We aim to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help, caring for them until their owners or loving new homes can be found, no matter how long it takes. Find out about what we do and how we take care of over 8,000 dogs and cats every year."

And please feed her kitten food, instead of tuna. It's a better balanced diet.

Thank you for taking her in and looking out for her.

I had to give her tuna I had no way to get cat food at that time of night. Have been giving her whiskas and Felix since. Don't u no anyone who can adopt her? Don't like the thought of her in a cage.

Great to hear she is now eating cat food!

I'm afraid I live in Canada, and my relatives in England don't reside in North London.

Battersea is a no kill rescue and often place cats and dogs in foster homes until they are adopted. They should be able to help.

Have you tried placing an ad on Gumtree or Preloved?

Hi, and welcome to TCS :wavey:

The first thing you need to do is take her to a local vet or rescue and get her scanned for a microchip. Given how friendly she is, it's very possible that she's got lost. If she IS chipped, you'll be able to reunite her with her family - which is surely the best possible outcome ;) It's well worth going to all your local vets, too, and asking if anyone has lost a cat. One of the first recommendations to anyone who's lost a cat is to ring round the local vets to see if anyone has found him/her.

If you can't find her family, Battersea, the Blue Cross (your nearest rehoming centre is Lewisham) or the Cat's Protection London Adoption Centre (in Archway) are your best bets. This is an international site, and the chances of finding a home for here here a very slim. A rescue/rehoming centre really is her best chance of finding a perfect new home.

Thank you for caring for this little girl. I'm sure shes very grateful :heart3:

I second what Columbine has said. The best thing is to contact a rescue or shelter. The Cats' Protection League in the UK have many foster homes for abandoned or stray cats, and that way they stay in an approved home environment until they are adopted. If you can't become a foster home then they will find her somewhere. But you should be looking for her owner first - it sounds as if she is a family pet. It is better than giving her away to someone you don't know - we have had those kind of arrangements go very bad on this site before now.
