Watery blood, but substantial.  Entire butt area looks bad, must irritate, he won't let me bother the area too much.  Vet spoke to me, told me nothing, check back in an hour, 2 hours later can't reach her, of course it's Friday night, closed until Sunday if she doesn't help me.  I guess it's anal sac issue, but what do I do in the meantime.

Are you saying that your cat has watery bloody diarrhea or that the outside of their anus is leaking a bloody watery substance?

Thanks for replying.  No, it appears not to be in the stool or urine.  Like the anal sacs have become irritated/exploded.  Vet says if the cat eats/drink/acts as usual, it can wait.  Sigh.

If there's no noticeable symptoms then it's possible it can wait. It's not very nice of your vet to make you wait and wonder though especially if he's gonna need to have them cleaned and flushed out or needs antibiotics. I don't have much knowledge of anal gland issues but I feel your frustration at having to wait, wonder, and worry.

Thanks, I was wondering if it was wrong of me to expect more.  I eventually reached her two hours later, she wasn't any nicer.  She isn't even in the same city but would have made an appointment, but by then I had lost interest in her.  Bleeding has more or less stopped, now that the "field" can be seen clearly, it does look like anal glands.  Will take him into the clinic on Sunday.  Pity the vet didn't have enough bedside manner to make me feel better on the first call, and barely on the second.  It's the internet that helped me.  I found a 6 year old inquiry where the vet asked the right questions and gave me the answers I needed.  Thanks again for replying.
