I have 2 kittens I just adopted they are 5 months old and neither has found much of a voice Hermione my female is starting to squeak a little but Harry is still not talking.  I was trying to figure out when they might start talking.  They came from the Humane society and had been bottled raised after they were found without their mom.

Not all cats (and kittens) do find meowing naturally.  Some must learn to do it, so it comes with time.

Or rather, I think they DO produce sounds, but sounds we humans dont hear. - Let me ask, are they sometimes opening their mouths, without any sound coming out??  I would dare to guess they do.

With time it will come and more, when they realize you arent hearing so good, so they must adapt their communications...
