Can you store the wet food can on it's side without any drawbacks ?

Does anybody know if storing wet food can sideways vs standing will damage the content ?Personally,  I don't see why it would, but I am not sure. I'm asking this to make most of some storage box that was given to me, and that is the way I can store the most of the 3 oz cans. Thanks

It's OK to store them that way, but don't stack them like that---they aren't meant to have weight on their sides. I mean, you can probably stack most cans 3 or 4 high that way without trouble but nothing really heavy.

Good to know. There won't be any stacking at all in my case.
