Cat fell in water now breathing weird

My cat fell in the bathtub yesterday because she sometimes likes playing in there but didn't realize it was filled so she got completely soaked and was blowing water out her nose. Now when she's sleeping she breathes loud. Like how a human breathes, with that whistle noise. She has never sounded like that up until yesterday. What is wrong with her?

I would call your vet and ask them if you should bring her in. My rainbow bridge kitty Claude was a water cat. He used to get himself completely soaked every time hubby or I showered. I do not ever remember this effecting Claude's breathing.

You already thought your cat was sick before this happened, correct? She needs to see a vet.

It sounds like she inhaled some water, which could become pneumonia.  Please take her to see the vet.  Is she coughing yet?
