My cat keeps meowing and drooling

My cat keeps meowing when people are around, very loudly and wont stop until we pet him, and if we do he goes back to meowing straight after. For as little as 2 minutes hes been drooling and this has happened 3 times over 2 days. We recently took him to the vet for ring worm and he is on medication, but were not sure if the medication is the reason for drooling and meowing so much, Before this he never really meowed unless it was food time.

Update- hes been jumping around while drooling, his tail is puffed up and dragging on the floor and he peed on the floor.

I'd take the cat back to the vet to determine why he is drooling and peeing on the floor. It may be related to the medicine for ringworm or it may be something  unrelated. Something like dental issues can cause drooling. If the vet just shrugs you off and says it's nothing, seek out another vet.

Do you have any plants in your home? Some platns are toxic to cats if ingested and drooling can be s ymptom. Or could your cat have gotten into anything toxic like household cleaners, even just residue?
