My cat, Coco, is a 20 year old female, spayed calico housecat (?).  Not exactly sure what breed she is.  She's been indoor/outdoor for years now and although not as spry as she used to be still enjoys going outside, visiting neighbors etc.

On October 30th, my daughter texted me saying she collapsed in the hallway and was crying.  I of course got upset as I've had her half my life.  I took her to the vet on Halloween and he diagnosed her with saddle thrombus. I have never heard of this before and granted, she's only been to the vet about 4 times in her life.  He gave her a heparin like injection but warned me not to get my hopes up for a recovery.  So that night I slept next to her on the couch and just talked to her and pet her. I thought this was our last day together.  My husband had planned to take her in the next day to be put to sleep.  I said no, I have to take her and be with her.  So Halloween night she got up and started walking!  She's since been walking, going outside and almost to her old self although she is unsteady on her feet.  The vet had said "Maybe we'll get a Halloween miracle".  I called them the next day and the assistant was shocked that she got up.  She's been getting a little better every day.  Now I know of course that she is 20 and our time is probably limited.  However, has anyone else gone through this with such an old cat?  If so, what has happened since?  She is on 1 baby aspirin a day and eating/drinking like she was before.  Going to the bathroom on wee wee pads but that she's been doing for months now.  Please any advice you can give me would be helpful.

Thank you Kommunity.  I don't want to put her down and she was terrified being in the vets office so we're going to keep her home as long as we can.  As long as she is comfortable, eating, drinking and going to the bathroom
