My heart is broken

I am so sorry, Cathi! It hurts so much to lose a young, healthy pet - such a shock, such a huge feeling of loss. He's so adorable, and you worked so hard with him, and gave him so much love. (((((((hugs)))))))

Can the vet do any tests to determine if it was natural causes or not, so you can notify the policeif it was poisoning?

Bless each and every one of you. It has been a really hard week for me since loosing Nemo. I loved that dog so much The vet has confirmed that he died from natural causes. Sad as he was so young Thank you all for understanding how I feel. It has been almost as bad as when my Dad died back in October.

Ken and I haven't slept much this week. Nakita has been whining, howling and barking everynight since Nemo passed. Bless her heart she loved him and he was her strength and confidence. Since my beautiful Nemo died, Nakita has regressed back to the dog who wouldn't let anyone touch her. She has been taking this really hard

Ken and I discussed this and have decided that the best thing for her sake is to find her another companion. I called our local HS to see if that might have another Husky there. As luck would have it they had a red and white one that was adopted out yesterday. They also had another one there that was black and cream. So not thinking that I would like this one I went to check on him anyway.

As I looked into that cage at the HS I took a sharp intake of breath. There in that cage was Nemo, well not really Nemo but one that looked so much like my handsome boy that I started to cry. I adopted him right on the spot. I am going to post his picture along with Nemo's picture in the pictures form if anyone would like to see him.

Cathi, your post brought me to tears! I'm just so sorry that Nemo is now at the Bridge. Please know that you guys are in my thoughts & prayers. It just broke my heart to hear how Nakita is taking it so hard. I just lost it when I read that. Hopefully the new lil guy Dakota will help her & you guys cope with your loss.

Tonight I sit here and cry I miss my boy and even though I have all of the rest of my babies including my new little boy Dakota, it just isn't the same without Nemo

There are some very cruel people in this world. One of my clients called in their payroll and wanted to know what was wrong with me, said I didn't sound right, so I told them what was bothering me. His comment was "That was one less mouth to feed". I couldn't tell them what I thought since it is a client, but you can bet that I will be colder to them from now on.

Some people just do not know the joy of having a wonderful pet who will love you no matter what You have to feel sorry for them.

Oh Blondie , those people don't even have any feelings (((((((HUGS))))))) . I know it is hard to loose your best friend and will take a long time to heal your heart . All I can say is what I do right now : Just take one day at a time , or just one moment at a time and enjoy what you do have in life (((((((HUGS)))))))
