It may be too late. She's in my kitchen but want to be friendly and she's crying but I cant' get near her to treat it. Was able to get ointment on shut eye. Very infected. Have antibiotic drops but she kicked them right out of my hand. It looks bad and painful. I can't afford a vet.

Try to wrap her up in a thick towel. All legs up to the chin. Being immobilized this way, they tend to cease resistance.

Otherwise, hope for the best as the succesful homeless usually has immune system high above average.  And now being inside, warm, comfortable, safe and with food and water, she has much better chances than being outside.

Sorry nobody answered earlier - not even I although I did saw this tread coming up...
