Does anyone know what type of calcium is used in the Alnutrion with calcium that is not from eggshells? I've tried to find it, but am not having success on my phone. I'm deathly allergic to oysters and am not sure if it contains oyster shell calcium. Does anyone use the one without eggshells who is allergic to oysters? I know I wouldn't be eating it, but if the powder puffed or spilled on my skin, I don't know how I would react. I'm getting ready to put an order in and wasn't sure which to calcium one to get. Thanks.

It's on their web site:

We offer two products with calcium for diets without bones: Alnutrin with Calcium (with limestone) and Alnutrin with EggShell Calcium (made with eggshell powder).

Ingredients: Egg yolk powder, calcium carbonate, taurine, iodized salt, vitamin E, iron amino acid chelate, copper citrate, manganese amino acid chelate, zinc oxide, vitamin D3, vitamin B12, vitamin B1.

The calcium is from limestone and calcium carbonate.

Do you have the same reaction to egg yolk powder? Would wearing plastic food service type gloves to handle egg products minimize any sort  of reaction?

Thank you so much! I wasn't able to find the ingredients while on my phone.

I have tested allergic to eggs but eat them and get the flu shot and so far have been ok. I'm deathly allergic to oysters and have to be very careful even being in a Chinese restaurant.
The gloves are a great idea. Since neither one contains oyster shell calcium, I don't need to worry about accidentally inhaling the powder.
Which one do you prefer, eggshell or the other one? Do you know which one cats prefer?
Thanks again for your help!

I found this very helpful article.

http://catcentric.org/nutrition-and...n-and-how-to-use-them-in-a-raw-fed-cats-diet/

I will be feeding meat with ground bone too, so I will have a variety of proteins and grinds. I'm going to order some Alnutrion with eggshell calcium and some regular for use with meat that has none ground up. I'm going to use Bravo primarily and see how it goes from there. I've found that several of my cats really like the Venision but I haven't supplemented it yet because I was just trying out the meat to see if they would even like it.
Hopefully they will still be as enthusiastic about it after I add the Alnutrion.

I've only used the Alnutrin for meat and bone. My cats seem to like it just fine. Some cats may not like Alnutrin, though. You'll have to try it with your cats to see if they like it or not.

If you plan to use meat that has bone included, you  need to use the Alnutrin for Meat and Bone product. Alnutrin with calcium would provide too much calcium and may result in constipation. Will you be using the Bravo boneless or the Bravo Basic (with bone)?

I was planning on using both. If I'm understanding this correctly, I would use tha Alnutrion with calcium for the Bravo boneless, and the alnutrition without calcium with the Bravo with bones. They don't have all of the proteins available with bone, and I was thinking this would provide more protein options. Am I thinking this through correctly?

Correct. Alnutrin for meat and bone for the Bravo chubs that do have bone included. Alnutrin with calcium for the boneless Bravo chubs.

Thanks you. Now the hard part will be getting eight cats to eat it. lol They like the Nature's Variety chicken bites, but it's too costly to free it to eight cats exclusively. I plan on still feeding it but alternating with the Bravo.
