Are you interested in sending and receiving printed Christmas cards this year? Opening cards from around the world can be so much fun and it's interesting to see all the cards!

To make the event fun for everybody, there are some rules that we must follow:
  • The 2016 Christmas Card Exchange is open to those members who have joined prior  to October 30, 2016
  • You must have at least 30 posts by Sunday, November 27 (which is when the card list will be PMed).
  • We will exchange snail-mail cards only; e-cards are not allowed for this event.  Please note that you are expected to send a Christmas card to everybody on the list. Be aware that postage to other countries can be expensive.
  • Your posts must be meaningful to count. Please don't post drivel just to get your post count up. Very short or one-word posts, or meaningless posts, will not be counted towards the the 60 posts. (And it's always nice to get to know you a little better through your posts.
    )
  • There are no exceptions
If you celebrate something other than Christmas, but would like to participate, you are very welcome to do so.

Thanks for your interest! Please PM me, if you'd like to be included. We will need your board name, your real name and mailing address, and any other information (your cats' names, for example) you'd like to share. Please put "TCS  2016 Christmas Card List" for the subject of your PM.

LOL - that counts me out then.

Seriously, are the cards supposed to be posted on a particular date to everyone on the list?
Nope. I've gotten them as early as late November (Mel used to organize the addresses and she'd send hers early, sneaky lady!) or as late as New Year's. Any time during the holiday season is good!

I think last year, I was late, but I don't remember. I start out with really good intentions, but then time seems to get away from me. Esp the closer we get to Christmas!

Another question that may make people decide is how many, on average, cards are there usually to send?

There has never been a huge number. One time 7-8, I think. Last year there were five, including me.

I was a part of the Christmas card exchange last year. Only a handful of members participated. I was quite surprised, as we have so many members here on TCS. It was fun, though, and I would enjoy being a part of it this year as well. Will it still be happening, if the number of people remain small. When is the deadline to have your name included?

Got it!

We are at seven people (including me).

Giving this a last bump-up, just in case. List will go out Sunday night! And to those who have sent me your names, thank you!

My apologies....just saw this now.

Please send me your name and address. I know you and I remember you. Honest. But, I list everybody and I need your address to keep things on an even keel. You know me, I'd forget my head if it wasn't fastened to my shoulders! PM me!
