Got a new ragdoll kitten a week ago and so far so good. Except now I think he has allergies. His left eye has some discharge, one side of his nostril is stuffy and he sneezes here and there. I am taking him to the vet this month but maybe I should go sooner? He's 5 months old and these symptoms started on Day 3 of having him...so far he's on l-lysine in hopes that it might help. And i wipe his left eye with a cotton ball and some water to help with discharge.

It could be allerlgies, or could be an upper respiratory infection.  Keep an eye on him and if it gets worse, say if he gets congested and has trouble breathing closed mouth, or his eating slows down, then take him in sooner, if you can.  Giving him L-Lysine is probably a good move.

Congrats on your new furbaby, BTW.  Pictures?

Thank you. I hope it's not an infection. Last night I thought it was bad and I tried every safe home remedy. The l-lysine has been an everyday thing with my babies and it seems to be helping. Plus I read to give them a bath would help if there's any allergens on their coats. So I gave him a waterless foam bath and brushed him. I've been wiping his eyes with water and cotton balls. He's breathing easier. Eating his wet food. I'm a happy cat mum as long as he doesn't get worse. Hopefully nothing is wrong and he gets better soon. And yes of course. A pic of him below!
