Hi Folks,
I came home last Friday night to find my beloved cat dead. He had run through my legs out the door and I could not get him before I left for work. He had no signs of trauma and was laid out on my neighbors driveway into my yard, tragically just about 5 feet where he was born with his brothers inside my house about 6 years ago. It is exceptionally tough for me as I helped the mom with the delivery because he was larger than the others and he always bonded to me I felt because of that.
He had no visible signs of trauma. He had some 'grime dust' on his front legs but he was a good 30 feet from the street. I'm unsure if he was hit and ran and died or was pulled under a car and ran and died. It is very frustrating for me as he ran through my legs to get outside.
I will never forget his glance over his shoulder at me as he went in the neighbors bushes and I will miss his chirping at me when he came around a corner or even his loud meowing when he wanted to get into bed with me.
I am just trying to find some closure. Anyone have ideas on this? Car? He was healthy, but had been quite restless the last two weeks wanting constant attention and talking loudly, it's almost as if he knew his clock was ticking.
Thanks.
