Vital Essentials is coming out with frozen raw food soon
http://www.vitalessentialsraw.com/cat-products It will be in three sizes: chubs, mini patties, and family size. The mini patties look similar to the NV medallions but 16 patties in a 2 lb bag isn't much. I can't tell from the picture what the family size is, maybe just a block of raw that you portion out yourself?

Let's see how that works out with VE's new products. I'm clicking on the hyperlinks but not able to view any of the ingredients.

I like VE as a company - one of the few companies to offer transparency of their ingredient sourcing to customers,  however, the products I've used thus far for my cats have been too high in bone and resulted in constipation.  The VE rep said the duck patties for dogs and rabbit patties for dogs would be "fine" to use for cats. Not for my cat though (or one cat who will eat frozen thawed raw, the other only FD).

The niblets for cats, both cats like the freeze dried but they don't hydrate well.

Maybe this will be an option to use occasionally. I just started with homemade raw though and that's working out very well, other than some FD for my fussy one.

I might try the mini patties just to see if the cats will eat it. There will be a beef and turkey variety which would give my cats something different than the rabbit and chicken medallions NV only has.

It looks interesting but like @LisaMarie12  said I'd be worried about bone content. I'm trying to move away from commercial foods because they're just costing me too much right now and I need to reel in my food budget a little bit.

I was initially interested in this new frozen raw possibility, but then I started to think.  First, when they announce the price it'll be the usual $7-8 or so per pound for chicken - twice the cost of my Hare Today homemade mixes.

Then I remembered all the things about commercial raw that made me stop using it:  freezer burn and questionable/variable freshness, and a supply that could be cut off at any moment.  I blew a lot of time and angst on wondering why my cats wouldn't touch the food half the time, and bouncing between brands as each in turn (Nature Variety, then Bravo, then Stella and Chewys) was taken off the market.

So I guess I'm not so interested after all.  Nice to hear that yet another manufacturer is thinking about frozen raw for cats though.

I just saw these cause a friend of mine works at pet stores so she posted a picture. I will probably try them to see if my cats will eat them. Lately they've been eat NV raw frozen bites without me having to add anything on top so that's what I like.

Vital Essentials now has the product info for the raw diets available on their web site

No veggies or fruit in the food. Here's what's in the turkey: Finely ground turkey with bone, turkey heart, turkey liver, turkey gizzard, raw goat's milk, turkey egg, water, egg shell membrane, herring oil, d-alpha tocopherol

I tried all the varieties. the kitties liked them all. you can get a super small one, I think they call it a trial size. it's terribly hard to open but a good option to start with. They sell them out here for $2.
