We just rescued this sweet black kitten a couple weeks ago. He was being given for free in a parking lot. With him being black and Halloween bad things can happen. He was sick with a cold, but he's the sweetest most amazing cuddly kitten ever. He loves chief and our moody odd other cat likes him too. He's helping me with my medical issues right now.

Ony issue I think is I believe he had fleas now I think chief and Frank(kidney disease) all have fleas now too or maybe allergies or something . They are not itching a ton not have I seen a flea but I'd like to use apple cider vinegar temporary fir them all I know to dilute it. I got organic raw unpasteurized with "the mother". How long can I safely keep spraying it on them all?

Bless you for rescuing that kitten.  You are absolutely right that a black kitten being given away near Halloween is facing real danger.  It was his lucky day when you saw him in that parking lot.

It sounds like you suspect the kitten has spread fleas to your other cats, although you haven't actually seen any fleas.  I haven't used apple cider vinegar for fleas myself, although I know it's a popular holistic flea preventative.  From what I've read, people who use it as a preventative treat with it regularly so I'm not aware of a time limit.  I'd think that ensuring you dilute it enough would make a big difference as far as that goes.

You really should take the kitten into the vet as soon as possible for an exam, deworming, tests for feline diseases and his shots.  Since your cats are now scratching a lot, you also need to confirm they have fleas.   You can ask the vet about the apple cider vinegar at the same time.  You can also pick up a more effective flea/tick control if the vet says it's necessary.

Give kittie a quick bath with a dab of dish detergent & warm water in the kitchen sink. This will eliminate any fleas.

Thanks and my lucky day. I needed him as much as he needed us. I combed for fleas on all and found none nor any flea dirt. Iv read doing is like 1 cup ACV and 10 cups water. I really want to avoid chemicals as much as possible. Ww will be taking him to vet soon for neutering, but leaving his claws in as I don't believe in takingthem out
