This is not really a TCS contest, although I do have Anne's permission to do this.

When we went to Penzey back at the beginning of October, I received a free (small) jar of their Lemon-Pepper blend. I love Lemon-Pepper; it's just delicious on corn, for example, but I've used it on pasta, sprinkled it on freshly baked buttered slices of bread. But I have enough of this seasoning for quite a while. So, would somebody be interested in taking it?

My vanilla is coming along nicely. I have two kinds of vanilla: one is made with bourbon and the other is made with vodka. I will have enough homemade vanilla extract to see me through for a while. So, would somebody be interested in a small bottle of homemade vanilla extract?

Here's all you do: Post in the thread and tell us what you'd use the Lemon-Pepper Seasoning in. And tell us which vanilla extract you want. That's it. You'll be entered in the contest. At the end of November, I'll write your names on papers, crumple them up, throw them on the floor, and let Mollipop choose the winner. I'll contact you, you can send me your name and address and I'll mail the seasoning and the extract to you. I can't do it until the end of November as the extract really shouldn't be used until then.....ideally, I don't like it to use it until about 3 months have passed, but it's smelling wonderful and I do think it will be OK by then.

Because it's technically food and I'm not sure about mailing regulations to other countries, I'm going to ask that we stick with USA residents. I'm sorry, but I don't want to get in trouble and I don't want you to get in trouble. I'm just really leery when it comes to sending food items out. And keep in mind, too, the vanilla is essentially alcohol.

Thanks for your understanding.

Not an entry, but wanted to say the lemon pepper blend is awesome! I also got a freebie from Penzys! So yes, anyone who wants to try different things, try it out!

I haven't made these in YEARS but I use to make zesty snack crackers using lemon pepper with oyster crackers. Hmmmm that sounds pretty good. I may have to look up my recipe and make some. They are really good and a light snack also amazing in tomato soup.

I have also used the lemon pepper on tilapia, pasta, and it's a nice change on popcorn.

Yes! Lemon pepper is great on popcorn! But it's gotta be popped in a pot with oil, it won't stick to air-popped popcorn. Unless there is a secret to seasoning air-popped popcorn?

It's also great when mixed with celery salt and used as a 'dip' for Bloody Mary Bites, which are cherry tomatoes poked with a fork and soaked overnight in vodka.

That said, I should recuse myself from the contest, as you sent me some vanilla a few years ago, and I still have some left! (I often 'threaten' to bake, but it's hard to motivate myself, though I did use the bourbon vanilla in pumpkin chocolate chip cookies for our Halloween potluck at work!)

So I guess I'm just sharing some ideas for lemon pepper, and I'm interested to get some other ideas as well!

Wow, I never thought about popcorn. Thanks! When I want to "treat" myself a little bit, I'll use air-popped corn, but then spray it lightly with Pam and then add whatever spices and such. I've used Penzey's Brady Street Cheese Sprinkles on my popcorn that way and it's good. It's still not as bad as oil-popped.

I've used Lemon-Pepper on tilapia, too. And cod.

I had thought about spraying air-popped popcorn with Pam before, but I just felt like it would get soggy. I guess if you sprayed a whole can it would! I should definitely try that soon. It's been ages since I've made popcorn, lemon pepper or otherwise!

Both lemon-pepper and your vanilla is new to me. I haven't seen them on this side of the pond but they both sound wonderful.

I saw a recipe for Lemon pepper chicken in creamy garlic lemon sauce that I would make using the spice. And the vanilla extract with bourbon would be great in my hubby's homemade fudge.

lemon pepper haddock is good. I bet it would taste good on chicken as well.  I don't bake but my coworker here cooks food from scratch all the time-she is always making yummy things so I could rehome the vanilla to her if that's allowed.

I use lemon pepper seasoning on any kind of grilled fish. It really complements the fish. I think the bourbon vanilla would be nice.

Mollipop picked the paper ball with @BBDOLL22  name. I've PMed you to get your name and address!

Let me know! And thanks so much!

I put each name on a piece of paper, rolled each paper into a ball, and then dropped the paper balls on the kitchen floor. The first ball that Molli went to was BBDOLL22's ball.

We are all under the weather here so I really haven't "cooked" but I used the lemon pepper to make chicken tenders and also made a lemon pepper rice. Yummy!!
Will be using the vanilla next weekend in homemade fudge! Can't wait!
Thanks again Winchester Winchester
And Mollipop for picking me!
