Hey everyone!
I switched my 9 yo neutered male from a hooded litter box to a much larger, no hooded one (I bought a very large sterilite tub which I found to be larger than most litter boxes on the market. Anyway, since I switched him, a few times I have found small pieces of urine in addition to his usual regular sized ball of pee.
I don't know if he is kicking or peeing differently due to the new box or if he is maybe not giving it time to clump before he kicks the litter now that he has more room? He is still peeing his normal sized ball so I'm not worried about a blockage.
The other think that leads me to believe it may be the new box is he has a cat enclosure outdoors that contains a litter box, and I haven't found any of the pieces in that one, only the normal sized ball.
Any ideas? Thanks!
