For the past couple of days my cat has been vomiting up most (not all) of the food I have been giving him. He is looking skinnier as well. Just this morning we woke up to cat urine with blood in it. My mum cleaned it up before I got to see it, she described it as " a lot of blood" She may have been exaggerating though. This is the first time he has peed blood as far as we know, although for the past week or so he has also been peeing in the house alot. Cat acts the same as always, very soppy. Eats and drinks food normally (as far as I know). The vet is pretty much out of the question here as I am dirt poor and wont be able to pay for meds or even check ups. I was hoping for some home methods of improving my cat's health.

Thanks, Mana

Your cat needs to see the Vet and soon.  Maybe your Vet would work out a payment plan for you?  Take some work like cleaning kennels in exchange?  Unfortunate no one here can do the test required or dispense the meds that might be necessary for your cat.  Would your parents not help with payment?

This is an emergency situation that needs vet attention ASAP.  In some cases, it can be fatal. Additionally, it's extremely painful for the kitty.  I would talk to the vet and see if you can work out a payment plan. Also, read the sticky at the top of the health forum for other resources.
