Of course we realize that every day is National Cat Day but for those who are not in the know, today is a special day to celebrate our furry family members and friends.  Here are some links of interest to get you started:

In honor of the day, some shelters are foregoing adoption fees.  Let's hope lots of kitties find good homes today.

Are you doing anything special for your feline friends?   Chula and Paul and I have no special plans.  I will worship and they will be worshipped.

Ours started out stressful - Casper is diabetic and developed hypoglycemia.  It was pretty scary, luckily the ER vet is only a few minutes drive from home.

While it started crummy it ended really well. Turns out the reason he went into that state is because he's in remission from the diabetes!  That last injection tipped him over the edge since he didn't need insulin any longer.  It's been almost 48 hours since and his blood glucose has been excellent without the insulin so - yay for Casper!

Extra snuggles bestowed on both him and Cocoabean

Thank you!

It's pretty awesome. I know it may last weeks, or years. It's unknown. But we've been taking very good care of him so I'm hopeful it will be on the longer end of that timeline
